The Committee recognise the efforts of all participants in the Fire Swim and each year present trophies to the Team that swims the most lengths, raises the most money and turns up in the best fancy dress.
As well as being a way of saying Thank You, the awards also add a little incentive and encouragement to all participants. In addition, the competitive spirit that springs up between regular swimmers as they try to outdo each other so that they can be the proud recipients of one of the trophies, helps to make the day thoroughly enjoyable, and the money raised high!
