A new introduction for 2007, this Award is dedicated to the memory of one of the founding members of the Fire Swim.

Kim was not only involved with the Swim, but also many other charitable works and schemes. He was also a member of the 17th Colchester Sea Scouts from an early age and throughout his life. He became Group Chairman and then Group Scout Leader and for many years helped Leaders and Scouts in numerous ways.

This award has been introduced for awarding to any Explorer Scout & Ranger Unit, any Scout, Guide, Cub, Brownie, Beaver or Rainbow section that raises the most money,  in recognition of the links between Kim, those organisations and the Fire Swim. We hope that this will not only be a fitting tribute to Kim but that it will forge stronger links between our organisations.
